How Can You Help During the Holidays?

I’ve always believed that giving is better than receiving, and there’s no better time to give than the Holidays. Here are a few places that could use your donations in order to spread the cheer this season.

If you can think of anything to add to the list, let me know and I’ll update this post with your suggestions!

Did you know that you can feed a hungry person Christmas dinner for just $2.82? It doesn’t take much to help, so why not donate today?
    Market Street Mission

    (973) 538-0431
You can also help the Market Street Mission in their annual Blanket Drive. Drop off blankets at Smartworld Coffee on South St. in Morristown

Food Pantries will play an important role in many families’ Christmas dinners this year. Here are two local ones that can use your help this season! Remember that Hurricane Sandy took a lot of their resources this year, so the need is more urgent than ever.
    Morris County Interfaith Food Pantry
540a West Hanover Ave. Morristown, NJ 07960
    (973) 538-8049
Open for Donations: Monday-Thursday from 9:00-4:30

    Parsippany Emergency Food Pantry

Make sure that Children in need have something under the tree this year. Toys are needed for all age groups. There is, however, a special need for items geared to kids between the ages of three and eight years.
    Toys for Tots
Many locations are taking donations, including Parsippany’s town hall. Just drop off your unwrapped toy by December 14th in the lobby donation box, or check here for other local drop-off locations. You can also donate toys directly from the Toys R Us website!
